Ground transportation Information

Residence Inn Hotel to the Klaus building (morning of July 10th and 11th)

We will provide a Georgia Tech Stringer to transport STI Workshop participants from the hotel to the Klaus building. At 7:00 am, the Stringer will wait outside the Residence Inn hotel for 10 minutes before leaving to go to the Klaus building.   When you exit the Stinger, walk up the main stairs at Klaus and enter the building through the glass doors on your Right.
The Stringer will continue to drop off and pick up participants from the hotel until 8:30 am.
After 8:30 am, participants will have to ask the hotel for transport to the Klaus building.

Klaus building to the Residence Inn Hotel (evening of July 10th and 11th)

We will provide a Georgia Tech Stringer to transport STI Workshop participants from the Klaus building back to the hotel. On July 10, at 5:30 pm, the Stringer will wait outside the Klaus building (the Stringer will be located down the main stairs outside the building to your Left) for 10 minutes before leaving to go to the hotel. After dropping off participants at the hotel, it will immediately return to the Klaus building, waiting 10 minutes before leaving. The Stringer will continue to drop off and pick up participants until 7:00 pm.  On July 11th, the Stinger will drop off and pick up from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
If you need transportation after 7:00 pm (on the 10th) or 4:30 pm (on the 11th), please call the Residence Inn Hotel at 1-404-745-1000.
For STI Workshop participants staying at the Courtyard Marriott, please ask the hotel for transportation to and from the Klaus building (266 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, GA 30332).

Parking and Driving Directions:

Parking is available at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. Please exit the Hotel on 5th Street, and head west approximately 3 blocks to the Klaus Advanced Computing Building. (Note that 5th Street turns into Ferst Drive). Visitors may also ride the free yellow trolley that runs along 5th Street/ Ferst Drive.
