Ground transportation Information

Wyndham Hotel to the Klaus building (morning of July 18th and 19th)

We will provide a Georgia Tech Stringer to transport participants of the STI Workshop from the hotel to the Klaus building. At 7:00 am, the Stringer will wait outside the hotel for 10 minutes before leaving to go to the Klaus building (the Klaus building will be on your Left once you exit the Stinger. Walk up the main stairs and enter the building through the glass doors on your Right).

After dropping off participants at the Klaus building, it will immediately return to the hotel waiting 10 minutes before leaving. The Stringer will continue to drop off and pick up participants until 8:30 am.

After 8:30 am, participants will have to ask the hotel for transport to the Klaus building or use the Georgia Tech trolley. The Georgia Tech Trolley stop is located on Peachtree Place outside the Marta station. The station is a block from the hotel. Once you leave the hotel, keep straight on to 10th street, turn Left on Peachtree Street, turn Right on Peachtree Place, keep straight until you reach the Marta Station on your Right. The Trolley runs every 10 minutes. The Klaus building will be the 4th stop on the Trolley (the Klaus building will be on your Left once you exit the Trolley. Walk up the main stairs and enter the building through the glass doors on your Right).

Klaus building to the Wyndham Hotel (evening of July 18th and 19th)

We will provide a Georgia Tech Stringer to transport participants of the STI Workshop from the Klaus building back to the hotel. At 5:00 pm, the Stringer will wait outside the Klaus building (down the main stairs outside the building to your Left) for 10 minutes before leaving to go to the hotel. After dropping off participants at the hotel, it will immediately return to the Klaus building, waiting 10 minutes before leaving. The Stringer will continue to drop off and pick up participants until 6:30 pm.

After 6:30 pm, participants will have to ride the Georgia Tech trolley. The Georgia Tech trolley stop is located outside the Klaus building (down the main stairs outside the building and to your left, where the road curves). The Trolley will drop participants off at the Marta station (the 4th stop) and they will have to walk a block to the hotel. The Trolley runs every 10 minutes.

Parking and Driving Directions:

Parking is available at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. Please exit the Hotel on 5th Street, and head west approximately 3 blocks to the Klaus Advanced Computing Building. (Note that 5th Street turns into Ferst Drive). Visitors may also ride the free yellow trolley that runs along 5th Street/ Ferst Drive.
